The Solar Plexus Chakra

This week I would like to discuss the Solar Plexus Chakra, the third Chakra of the etheric body. It is symbolized by the colour Yellow and is located at the navel (stomach area).

We hold our personal power in this area and through it flows our self esteem and self confidence about who we are and what others think of us. Unfortunately, through friendships and other personal relationships we experience in life we form opinions of ourselves and we base it on how people perceive us. Through this distorted perception we can begin to display and use behaviour's and techniques to get people to like us. Behaviour patterns such as people pleasing, submissiveness, self sabotage and passive aggressiveness can result and the Solar Plexus Chakra diminishes in it's power and becomes unbalanced.

When the Solar Plexus becomes under active we can experience issues such as anxiety, depression and low self esteem. And on the other hand when we have an overactive Solar Plexus we can display behaviour such as dominating others, controlling and manipulating others, bullying and making others feel inferior.

Reiki allows blockages to be removed in the Solar Plexus Chakra and assist's the energy to flow again in balance. Over time with consistent effort of lovingly asserting ourselves, reflection and re-establishing new powerful and loving patterns in our thoughts and actions we can keep the Solar Plexus energy flowing in balance. We begin remember to see ourselves as a child of God which is continually connected to the eternal power of him, and we remember that strength and confidence is an innate quality of our soul that is our rightful birthright.
